About Us

The Hong Kong Wetlands Conservation Association (HKWCA) is a local non-government organization founded in 2018. Our aim is to promote the conservation of wetlands and nature.  HKWCA is also keen on advancing environmental education and sharing global and local experiences in wetland management.

Key works:

  • Promote exchange of global and local experience in wetland conservation and management, through forums, workshops and exchange platform etc.

  • Educational programs: Encompass multiple approaches, including learning, appreciation, action, engagement and communication, to promote wetland conservation in the community. Encourage public participation and harness the power of community in conservation.

  • Network building: Overseas study tours and visits to connect with wetland reserves and centres in other places.

  • Advocacy for local nature and wetland conservation policy and strategy.

* We have joined as a member of Wetland Link International (WLI)

Wetland Link International (WLI) is a global network of wetland education centres and recognised by the Ramsar Convention.
